Eurovelo no.17. The site has the “accueil vélo” label. By car or bus + 1 hour from Lyon Take the A43 motorway, exit 10 “Le Pont de Beauvoisin / Les Abrets” then head for Belley along the D592 to Saint-Didier-d’Aoste and follow signs for “Musée-mémorial d’Izieu”. 1 hour from Grenoble Take the A43 motorway, exit 10 “Voiron/ Les Abrets”. Take the RD1075 and pass near Voiron then cross Les Abrets towards Belley on the RD592 to Saint-Didier-d’Aoste and follow the signs for “Musée-mémorial d’Izieu”. 35 minutes from Chambéry and 1 hour from Annecy Take the A43 motorway, exit 11 “Saint-Génix-sur-Guiers”. Continue on the D40 towards Saint-Didier-d’Aoste and follow the signs for “Musée-mémorial d’Izieu”. 1 hour 15 minutes from Bourg-en-Bresse Take the RD1075 towards Pont d’Ain, then Ambérieu-en-Bugey and Lagnieu. Continue through Sault-Brénaz, Serrières-de-Briord and Port-de-Groslée. Go past Saint-Benoit and follow the RD19 to Brégnier-Cordon. In the hamlet of La Bruyère, in Brégnier-Cordon, head towards Izieu and follow the signs for “Musée-mémorial d’Izieu”. By plane + The house is located 50 minutes from Lyon Saint-Exupéry airport via the A43 motorway. By train + TGV train stations Lyon Saint-Exupéry and Lyon Part-Dieu (69), then allow 50mins to 1hr 15mins to travel by private transport. SNCF train station La Tour du Pin (38) and Culoz (01), then allow 30 to 40mins by private transport. A visit to the Maison d’Izieu is recommended from the age of 8. Air conditioning in the exhibition spaces. There are signposts for two free car parks as soon as you arrive on site: – coaches and minibuses : parking reserved for group transport – motorhomes : use the parking area reserved for coaches and minibuses. Unsuitable surface for motorhomes in the car park. – cars : individual visitor parking. Disabled spaces are available near the reception. – motorbikes : specific spaces are available in the car park. – bikes : bike racks are available near the staff car park and at the entrance to the site and staff parking. Please respect these designated areas and do not park at the side of the road or in front of the buildings. Audioguides are available for self-guided tours, for people with disabilities and for foreign visitors. Languages available: English, German, Italian, French and Spanish. In order to protect the site and its natural environment, the Maison d’Izieu is not able to collect your rubbish. Please take it with you at the end of your visit. Coffee area, no on-site catering. Picnics are permitted in the orchard at the back of the house. Access is via the path under the terrace. Food and drink cannot be purchased at the Maison d’Izieu. Bookshop : sales end 10 minutes before the memorial closes. Animals are not allowed in the buildings, except for guide dogs. Bike parking, a resting space, luggage lockers, battery recharging for electrically assisted bicycles and a repair kit for minor damage are available to visitors to the memorial on request at the reception desk.
