In addition to the visit of the house and the permanent exhibition, the Maison d’Izieu regularly hosts temporary exhibitions in its two spaces:

– The orchard for open-air exhibitions.
– The Zlatin Gallery, a new temporary exhibition space inaugurated in 2022 in the heart of the Sabine and Miron Zlatin building, has been fitted out with display cases that comply with document conservation standards and allow original archive pieces to be displayed.

This space also features portraits of children and adults donated by the German artist Winfried Veit in 2017. Based on photographs of the children and their teachers, the artist Winfried Veit has drawn striking charcoal portraits in large format, testifying to the artist’s modest yet very personal relationship with his models, “to give them back a moment of life in our memories.”
